OMF has recently launched a new project, offering six children a unique opportunity to delve into the world of music composition. These sessions, held at the Contact Theatre, provide a blend of traditional learning and innovative approaches to music creation.

Under the guidance of programmes manager Patrick Shepherd and DJ, Producer, and Educator, Balraj Samrai, these young composers are introduced different compositional tools such as Logic Pro and graphic scores!
Among the compositions developed by these young talents is the track from Gwiza, 'It's football, not soccer'. 'Music Music Drop Drop Don't Let The Flip Flop', a creation of brothers, Umar and Hussein is another highlight.

Adding to this rich experience, the group recently had an inspiring session at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) with Larry Goves, the Head of Composition. There, in the midst of the state-of-the-art Studio 8, they delved into the world of graphic score creation. This workshop culminated in a performance by a talented RNCM musician, bringing the children's compositions to life.
